Principal's Retirement

Jim Craig, Our Principal Retires

Our Principal, Jim Craig is moving on after 6 years in the role. Jim is the Health School's second principal and in his time at the helm, the school has grown from a roll of around 150, to 400 odd at the peak last year. He lives in Whangarei has been travelling to and from Auckland, where the school's administrative base is, on a weekly basis. He is looking forward to a lot less travel and enjoying the winter less north.

He will be missed by staff, students and parents alike and we wish him all the best for his Northern future.

Security Issues for the School

Following the break in at our South Auckland Unit, there has been an attempted burglary at our Rotorua Unit as well. The thieves did not find anything of interest and left after causing some damage to the front doors. The security of our Units is an issue for the school and staff are all vigilant in terms of high value, expensive equipment such as laptops, cameras and handbags. Hopefully this is the last such event for a while as lost equipment is both expensive and time consuming to replace and hinders the operation of the school.
